I’m extremely late for the whole drawing concepts for Mako and Bolin’s parents bandwagon, but better late than never, right?
I’m just going to get my heart crushed whenever/if ever they reveal them on the show anywaysSo, let me introduce you to Kazuo and Mei Lin. I’m still trying to figure out my headcanons about them, but for sure I think of them as nonbenders because of how they were brought down by a single firebender. I like to think of Kazuo being a very charming sort of guy. He has a bit of a short fuse for the small things because of his lack of patience (like figuring out how to fix a radio or put together furniture), but Mei Lin usually knows how to calm him down or put him in his place. She’s the one who has patience in spades although a bit less of a social butterfly than her husband. She’ll prefer to stay quiet for most social situations, but when she’s with those she’s close to, talking is no problem. She loves telling the boys bedtime stories that she spins off the top of her head, and Kazuo would often jump in and they’d act out the stories together for the boys.
And I could go on and on about ideas for these two and Mako and Bolin, but I’ll stop it right there. I’ll probably be drawing a lot more of them and illustrating some more headcanons later on. <33
